  • It will break down under industrial composting conditions, typically within 84 days.
  • The resulting compost is safe for plants.
  • The certification was granted before the claim was made, not self-declared.

What it doesn't confirm on its own: home compostability. For that, look for TUV OK Compost HOME alongside BPI. Both certifications together cover industrial and home composting scenarios.
